To pass a urine drug test is quite simply to say you want to pass a urine drug test. Why? Out of the three drug test methods (hair drug test, blood drug test, and urine drug test), urine drug test is the most common amongst drug test administrators everywhere. Whether its an employer or concerned relative, urine drug test is the way to go, because it is very economical, produces fast results, and is less intrusive than a blood test in addition being far less expensive than a hair drug test. Urine drug test screens have also received the most attention by those eager to pass a urine drug test.

In order to pass urine drug tests, one must either abstains from drug use or detoxify the body to accommodate a pass. A urine drug test looks for drug metabolites in the urine sample. The logic is simple, yet the sciences of passing urine drug test procedures are not. There are many products available that will help pass urine drug test screens, including internal drug detox supplements, or external urine additives. More recently, synthetic human urine has grown with both enormous popularity and controversy because it will pass urine drug test screens flat.

Urine Drug Test

Urine drug test procedures are classified into two drug tests: urine EMIT drug test screen and a urine GC/MS drug test. EMIT urine drug test screens are the most widely used due to economics, and GC/MS urine drug test policies are used only for confirmation. For example, after an EMIT urine drug test has been performed to conclude if a sample did indeed pass a urine drug test. GC/MS urine drug test machines cost well into the six-figure range, but are usually extremely accurate in determining whether or not someone pass urine drug test screening. GS/MS is an extremely advanced urine drug test machine with uncanny accuracy. Said accuracy is not always in tact, however. Many of the drug test community have dumped everything from bleach to water into a urine drug test, but interestingly, scientists discovered that aspirin (of all things) can render a urine drug test into a false positive.

Here’s what happened. Scientists at the University of Louisville School of Medicine analyzed urine drug test samples using EMIT, and noticed lower than normal ratios of absorbency. After further investigation, it turns out many of these urine drug test samples had salicylates in them (a similar compound found in aspirin. So, the pathology scientists setup a urine drug test to see which ones passed with traces of salicylates in the urine. Several of the urine drug test samples did have them, but the correlation between salicylates in a urine drug test and false positive results were not cut and dry. Interestingly, people pass urine drug test EMIT methods not by pouring aspirin into the sample, but by consuming it. According to this study, it appears that the ingestion and metabolism of aspirin is the key to altering the absorbency rate, thus leading to a false positive or pass urine drug test.

Pass Urine Drug Test?

Pass? Fail? Outside of an inconclusive urine drug test due to contamination or diluted sample, those are the only two ways a urine drug test will result in. With a little knowledge, anyone can pass urine drug test screens, but the only true way to pass a urine drug test (or any drug test for that matter) is to abstain from drug use.

Marijuana, the most popular urine drug test type people are tested and try to pass, has a half-life in the body between 14-30 days. If the marijuana (THC) metabolites are still in your system, you will not pass a urine drug test. If your body has been detoxified properly, then you can pass urine drug testing. However, the outcome of any drug test, including the urine drug test, ultimately is up to the person being drug tested.
